Erasmus+ is the EU's programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe. The 2021-2027 programme places a strong focus on social inclusion, the green and digital transitions, and promoting young people’s participation in democratic life. It supports priorities and activities set out in the European Education Area, Digital Education Action Plan and the European Skills Agenda.
The main goals of the Erasmus + programme are to improve the quality of education in Europe, to develop mobility and cultural ties between students from European and the EU neighbouring countries.
The ERASMUS+ programme is divided into four types of foreign mobilities –Study mobility, Traineeship (for students and graduates), Training and Teaching (for academic staff).
The KA1 supports mobility projects in the field of education, training and youth.
KA1 programmes for students aim to improve: learning; career prospects; entrepreneurship; foreign language competences; intercultural awareness; self-empowerment and self-esteem; EU values.

Organisations wanting to participate in Erasmus+ may engage in a number of development and networking activities, including strategic improvement of the professional skills of their staff, organisational capacity building, and creating transnational cooperative partnerships with organisations from other countries in order to produce innovative outputs or exchange best practices.
